7 Tips for Achieving Weight Loss Success
Weight loss can be a challenging and frustrating process, but with the right strategies and a bit of patience, it is achievable.[0] To make the process easier, it’s important to understand the basics of weight loss: Eat fewer calories than you burn, stay hydrated and get enough sleep. Additionally, there are other tips that can help you lose weight faster and more effectively.[1]
First, start your day with a high-protein breakfast. Eating a high-protein breakfast has been linked to reduced cravings and calorie intake throughout the day (16, 17).[1] Aim for 20 to 30 grams of protein per meal, and include protein with snacks as well.
Second, remember to stay hydrated.[1] Consuming an adequate amount of water is a great way to increase your metabolism and rid your body of toxins.[2] Aim to drink at least 8 glasses of water per day and avoid sugary drinks, such as soda or fruit juice, which are high in calories.[2]
Third, aim to get at least 7 hours of quality sleep each night.[3] Sleep is essential for good health and plays a role in weight management. Poor sleep is one of the biggest risk factors for weight gain, so it’s important to get the right amount and quality of sleep.
Fourth, incorporate strength training and cardio.[4] Both are recommended as weight loss tips for both women and men.[4] Lifting weights has particularly good benefits, but if that’s not possible, cardio workouts are also effective.[1]

Finally, don’t forget about finding support from a partner or friend who’s also interested in losing weight.[6] Having a companion on your health journey can be incredibly beneficial; they can be a source of motivation during times of difficulty, while also providing support when it comes to making better nutritional decisions.[6]
